High Intensity Interval Training (H.I.I.T)

We offer this type of training as opposed to traditional cardio such as jogging, cycling, aerobics, and dancing. The traditional methods break down muscle tissue at the same rate as fat tissue making them less effective at burning fat and losing weight. The traditional methods are also boring, time consuming, and often deliver disappointing results. High Intensity Interval Training is a very challenging and exciting method of training. H.I.I.T. burns more fat and more importantly builds and tones muscle mass. An extremely valuable benefit of this form of training is Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC) which causes the body to burn fat up to 48 hours after exercise.

High Intensity Interval Training is done by performing a high intensity exercise that causes the heart to pump and multiple muscles to work hard and maintain this for anywhere from 10 seconds to 5 minutes. The length of the exercise depends on the client’s fitness goals and level of fitness. The exercises used are fun and challenging and often vary depending on the goals and what the client enjoys most. Exercise should not be drudgery.
